The festival – to celebrate all the arts in the Parkes Shire – kicked off on Monday with an art exhibition and the first of five art and craft workshops, with lino printing.
The Proposal and The Wedding one-act plays hit the Little Theatre stage that night, with special musical performances from the Woodwind Quartet.
It was an overwhelming first day and the Parkes Shire’s Arts Advisory Council couldn’t be happier with how the week is going so far.
The Parkes Shire’s Cultural, Education and Library Services Manager Kerryn Jones said the exhibition has really proved popular.
On its opening day, 10 pieces were sold and staff recorded about 70 people visiting.
“The feedback from the lino printing workshop [on Monday] was fabulous,” Ms Jones said.
