GREENVILLE — A creative reuse center on Haywood Road has packed up its basement level store — filled with crayons, markers, license plates, googly eyes, glue and lace — and is moving less than a mile away to Laurens Road.
ReCraft, a nonprofit founded by Grant Cothran in 2019, collects reusable art supplies and creative materials donated by Greenville community members, households and businesses, and it resells them at about half the retail price.
He opened a brick-and-mortar location in February 2022 in a 7,500-square-foot space hidden from street view at 525 Haywood Road. The store grew to its capacity quicker than anticipated, leading Cothran to look for a new space earlier this year.
