Burnham Park Family Fun Day rescheduled to May 7

With a soggy forecast for the weekend, the Burnham Park Association has opted to reschedule Saturday’s Family Fun Day to Sunday, May 7, 2023, according to association President Lynn Siebert.

“There might be a few adjustments along the way but we will definitely have old fashioned children’s games, the Snakes ‘n Scales animal program (with live rescue animals), a K9 demonstration by a County Sheriff’s Office detective and, we hope, a visual art workshop with an artist (still to be confirmed). There will also be the flamingo scavenger hunt, and some guided trail walks, as well as food,” Siebert said via email.

This is a tentative lineup for Family Fun Day:

  • 10 am Flamingo Scavenger Hunt begins and runs all day (and beyond)
  • 10-10:30 am Children’s games begin and run all day
  • 10:30 am Sit Spot nature exercise
  • 11 am Remarks from Morristown…
