A new creative robotics space in downtown Westminster will host programs designed to promote robotics education, further enhance the city’s autonomous corridor, and develop a workforce ready to tackle the frontier of self-driving cars.
“We’re helping develop career pathways for students who are interested in robotics,” Mid-Atlantic Gigabit Innovation Collaboratory – or MAGIC – Executive Director Graham Dodge said. “That’s the whole point of this facility.”
MAGIC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to technology innovation and entrepreneurship in Westminster.
The Autonomous Robotics Innovation Center, located in the rear of 31 W. Main St., in Westminster, is operated by MAGIC and was officially opened Monday evening at an onsite ribbon-cutting ceremony.
