The mid-term elections are quickly approaching and many are focused on electing government officials, but there are also some local items that will be on the ballot.
The Adair County Public Library is asking for its first tax levy increase since the current building opened in 1986.
The increase would be 12 cents per $100 assessed valuation.
Adair County Public Library Director Jami Livingston has discussed with us how the additional funding would help with the technology services offered at the library.
One way would be by creating Kirksville’s first makerspace room.
