Mar. 2—The Texas Municipal Library Directors Association, an affiliate of the Texas Municipal League, awarded the Achievement of Library Excellence Award to the Cleburne Public Library for the 2022 year. Of Texas’ 542 public libraries, Cleburne is one out of only 73 to have received the award this year.
“To successfully receive the Achievement of Library Excellence Award, the library must exhibit excellence in 10 categories by providing services to under served and special populations,” according to a TMLDA release announcing the award recipients. “Also through marketing in innovative ways, pursuing collaborative efforts, continually enhancing its services, supporting literacy, digital inclusion and workforce development as well as providing cultural, topical and educational programming and comprehensively training its staff.
