A new learning lab could soon open more pathways of career possibilities to Memphis Community Schools students.
Information detailing the planning phase of the district’s STEM Career Learning Lab was included in a Dec. 2 weekly district update on Facebook. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Superintendent Sara Dobbelaer wrote that the lab is being planned for Memphis Junior/Senior High School and will be structured as a career pathway and project-based learning opportunity. She also said three grant applications have already been submitted for the project.
