A Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt
“Cupid” has hidden scores of hearts around the North Meadow at Chambers Creek Regional Park — and you can look for them during a Feb. 4 scavenger hunt. Between 10 a.m.-1 p.m., you can find and then bring the mischievous god’s lost hearts to a Pierce County tent and be rewarded with some Valentine’s Day goodies. Celebrating a Local Volunteer
Metro Parks Tacoma recently announced a major milestone for Northeast Tacoma park steward Scott Murdock: the volunteer has racked up a whopping 4,760 hours of giving back to nature and parks. Murdock typically spends up to 20 hours a week volunteering. Find out about this dedicated community member
