
A community makerspace in Fishers will Friday begin hosting the regional Make48 competition. The Fishers Maker Playground, which opened earlier this year in the Hub & Spoke community center, says the event features teams prototyping an idea to pitch to a panel of judges.
During the 48-hour competition, teams are tasked to build a physical prototype, create a sales sheet, produce a one-minute marketing video, and pitch to the judges.
For this weekend’s competition, Corteva Agriscience is presenting a real-world problem for the teams to solve under the theme, “Food Preservation & the Supply Chain: Food at the Right Place, at the Right Time.”
The winning team will receive $2,000 and advance to the national Maker48 competition in March 2023.
