The Aiken Technical College Foundation was recently awarded a $10,500 grant that will be used to expand the college’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics Room in the library.
“The Aiken Technical College Foundation and Aiken Technical College are thankful to the Community Foundation for the CSRA and The Masters Tournament for this grant award,” said ATC Foundation Director Dr. Beth LaClair. “The investment in STEAM education in Aiken County will have an impact on student learning and ultimately a well-trained workforce.”
The STEAM Room, which was created in 2016 to provide opportunities to explore STEAM activities outside of the classroom, moved to a larger space in the library this fall.
