The surge in COVID-19 cases has created an unprecedented demand for medical supplies across the country.
BeAM, UNC’s network of Makerspaces, is now working closely with UNC Health to produce auxiliary personal protective equipment for health care workers.
“Personal protective equipment or ‘PPE’ is in great demand globally, and the situation is no different for UNC Health,” Phil Bridges, executive director of integrated communications at UNC Health, said in an email.
