PORTSMOUTH – Port City Makerspace welcomes all who love to sew, craft, knit, and work with soft materials to celebrate the grand opening of their new Soft Crafts Shop.
Port City Makerspace is a nonprofit community workshop. Anyone in need of tools and workspace can become a member to gain access to their shared resources and workspaces to create a variety of projects. Since their founding in 2012, their workspaces have focused on the disciplines of woodworking, welding and machining, electronics repair and prototyping, automotive and bicycle repair, and CNC routers.
Now Makerspace is diversifying its creative workspace offerings by adding a Soft Crafts workspace to its shared facilities. In the new Soft Crafts Shop, makers and artists can look forward to gaining access to a variety of tools dedicated to sewing, screen printing, jewelry making, papercrafting, knitting, arts…
