The people behind the transformation of a former derelict Birkenhead building have spoken of their hopes to be part of the town’s cultural and economic revival.
Make Hamilton Square, at Cleveland Street, in Birkenhead opened a “maker space” 18 months before the pandemic, offering workshop and office space to budding creatives and hobbyists hoping to turn their passion into a business.
The organisation draws on their success of Make Liverpool, which has premises in the Baltic and the Fabric District, with co-director Liam Kelly one of the directors of Baltic CIC and a key figure behind the area’s development.
