Bill Palmerini’s face lit up while reflecting on what resources a renovated Belmonte Upper Elementary School will offer students starting this fall.
Palmerini, who has taught in Saugus for more than three decades, said students in the grades two to five Belmonte Upper Elementary School will benefit from a facility designed as a STEAM Academy to bolster project-based learning.
“This is such a dramatic change, it’s amazing to see,” Palmerini said. “This is the biggest leap we’ve ever taken.”

On Tuesday, Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Accountability Brendon Sullivan and Principal Tracey Ragucci led the Advertiser on a tour of the newly renovated Belmonte Upper Elementary School.
