NEW BRITAIN- Mayor Erin Stewart and Connecticut Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz will be amongst the guests at the grand opening and ribbon cutting of The New Britain Museum of American Art’s historic Landers House on Thursday.
The ribbon cutting unveiling the exquisite renovations and the building’s newest additions will be at 2 p.m., with opening remarks by CEO and Director Min Jung Kim, Mayor Stewart, Lieutenant Governor Bysiewicz, and CT DECD Commissioner David Lehman.
Guests can enjoy live outdoor music featuring the Survivors Swing Band and the Brian McDonald Duo as they check out the great updated space.
The Landers House is complete with fine details paying tribute to the building in its original iteration with new mahogany windows installed, which will allow visitors to enjoy southerly views of Walnut Hill Park for the first time in 85 years. The…
