Eight ways to keep the faith in the summer in Oklahoma

Keep the faith this summer with these options from Oklahoma houses of worship. (Photo: Delmaine Donson, Getty Images)

Many metro-area houses of worship typically offer special programs and activities during the summer months and summer 2021 is no different. These programs are especially popular due to the warm weather and people’s excitement about gathering together as the pandemic appears to wane.

Some of the activities are combined with some sort of educational component while others are offered purely as entertainment and fun.

Here are eight ways to keep the faith in the summer:

‘Summer ViBeS’

“Summer ViBeS” continues at First Christian Church of Edmond (Disciples of Christ) as a Sunday evening for outdoor fellowship, fun and games. Summer ViBeS is a block party and vacation Bible school in one, with arts and crafts and other activities for children as well as adults. There’s a mission component, as well.
