8 honored with Tournament of Roses scholarships

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association has selected eight high school seniors as the 2021 Rose Scholars.

Rose Scholars, presented by Citizens Business Bank, is a program designed to help students in the community thrive and foster their potential. The program has awarded $20,000 in scholarships to eight graduating seniors from the Pasadena Unified School District.

Honored are Ritaj Abdulla of Pasadena High School; Simon Kuo of John Marshall Fundamental High School; Cole Brown of John Marshall Fundamental High School; Oscar Damian Larios of Pasadena High School; Madeleine Chen of John Marshall Fundamental High School; Tia Reed of John Muir High School; Noah Griffin of John Muir High School and Florence Winslow of Rose City High School.
