The Sharing Arts Network has achieved its funding goal for Dublin’s new Ceramics Center. The arts organization has raised $ 110,000 over the past year to secure a long-term lease of Dublin Village Park and pottery equipment through a private donation. Tax credit sales Roy Schlieben, organizer and director of MAxT Makerspace, talks about donating to local businesses and donating equipment in kind. The pottery center will be equipped with gas kilns, electric kilns, glaze chambers, six wheels and other pottery tools and equipment.
“We look forward to holding regular classes of all ages and abilities,” he said. Hoping to open early, Schlieben said he hopes the studio will open this fall after a refurbishment.
