THE new Chairman of Rochford Council, Coun Mrs Julie Gooding, has visited East Essex Hackspace, her chosen registered charity for 2021-22.
The former sports pavilion in Hawkwell has been transformed into an exciting new community workshop and is looking forward to opening its doors to the public as soon as government guidance allows.
The site at Clements Hall Recreation ground will be used to provide a ‘maker space’ for anyone interested in technology, and will enable the sharing of knowledge within the local community.
Coun Gooding said: “My chosen registered charity, which I will be fundraising for this year is East Essex Hackspace (EEH). EEH is a local charity based in Hawkwell, which I have supported from the start.
