CUMBERLAND — Allegany College of Maryland employee David Smarik has joined a national advisory council workgroup for industrial technology maintenance and mechatronics. Smarik was invited by the National Institute for Metalworking Skills to join the 10-member technical workgroup comprised of instructors from eight states across the country.
Smarik, who resides in Keyser, West Virginia, is the only council member to represent Maryland in the group.
