The Idaho Art Lab in St. Anthony is in danger of losing its location and many of the services it provides.
The lab has until May 31 to raise $350,000, which will be enough to buy the building at 2355 S. Yellowstone Highway the lab is currently in and give the lab a permanent home in St. Anthony.
“If we are not able to save the Idaho Art Lab in this building, anything else we offer is going to be at a lesser value,” said Daniel Hidalgo, cofounder of the lab.
Daniel and his wife Kara Hidalgo cofounded the lab in 2010, becoming a community resource for people interested in the arts. The two saw a need for art in the east Idaho region and Daniel Hidalgo was looking for an opportunity to become a local art educator.
