“Whether students need certifications for an upcoming project, want a head start this semester or are ready to try something new, we’ve built this opportunity for them,” said Lucy Weaver, Makerspace coordinator.
Programs include:
- 3D Scanning Certification, Aug. 31, 10 a.m.-noon, or Sept. 5, 2-4 p.m.: Basic strategies for successful scanning using the Artec Eva handheld 3D scanner and Artec Studio scanning software.
- Benchtop CNC A Certification, Aug. 29, 3-5 p.m., or Sept. 11, 3-5 p.m.: Introductory course to the Carbide 3d Shapeoko XXL and Nomad 3 benchtop CNC machines.
- Custom Stickers Workshop, Sept. 1, 2-4 p.m.: Provides an overview of the graphics area. Participants will leave with a custom set of stickers and the ability to make more independently in the future.
