CANTON— Two St. Lawrence University graduates have provided funding to help support the college’s Explore Lab Makerspace, a 3D printing and equipment lab.
St. Lawrence University has received a lead gift from Russ ’91 and Roxanne Stergas Scully ’91 to endow the Explore Lab Makerspace, a hub for hands-on learning, creativity, and interdisciplinary innovation on campus.
The lab features a range of equipment including 3D printers and laser engraving machines. It was introduced in 2016.
The Scullys’ gift will provide support for the lab’s evolving needs, including infrastructure improvements, equipment and materials, student employment, and ongoing operations-“ensuring the space remains accessible, safe, and forward-looking,” according to a statement published by St. Lawrence University.
